Quite a lot of money is needed to move the gospel to her prime place in this end-time. And that is why it has been said that money is ‘the bicycle of the gospel’, except that I must add that the everlasting gospel does not ride bicycle any more this end-time. For it to reach the frontiers of civilization, it must be supported and made to ‘ride on supersonic Concorde Jets, Satellite systems etc’. This is one reason the gospel needs you.

Your prosperity does not depend on what others give to you. It depends on your own giving to others! Why? It is your giving that will determine the measure of your receiving (Luke 6:38). In 2Cor. 8, Paul commends the churches of Macedonia. In fact, verse 3 & 4 says, "They gave according to their ability and beyond their ability and they gave of their own volition."

 

This Macedonian churches had found that giving was so liberating, so rewarding, so blissful, so joyous, so enriching and so beneficial that they were begging for an opportunity to give (2Cor.8:3-4). And, they gave freely of their own choice, beyond their ability, out of their deep poverty they overflowed with liberality and in the midst of their real affliction their abundant giving brought them great joy.
